The Temple crew needs your help.

It's just (as in the last five minutes) come to my attention that something
bad happened at the Temple of Light.
It appears that the bench that was with the installation on the playa,
walked away. This bench was hand-made with love, along with five other
benches, for the families of the shooting victims at the 2112 house. As many
of you know, these benches were part of the installation at the Seattle
Center. They were never intended to go to the playa, but because one of the
fathers of the victims lives in Albany, NY and was joining us on the playa,
we brought it to him in the desert. It was out of the goodness and hugeness
of his heart that he put the bench out at the Temple for the week of the
event, and let people sit on it, write on it, rest with it.

The day of the burn was pretty chaotic, and we knew the bench was missing,
but we thought we heard that a friend of the crew had taken it to tend to
it, and it was okay. We now know that isn't the case. We've just recently
heard from this parent that he doesn't have the bench, and we're so sad that
we don't know where it is. We're hoping that someone out here in the
community took it to take care of it and would like to return it to its
rightful owner. If you know of the bench's whereabouts and can help us out,
we'd greatly appreciate it, as it is a one-of-a-kind item, a gift to a
grieving father, not 'just another piece of art'.

Some time over the course of the burn, a bell went missing from the temple.
It was a beloved bell, belonging to the same parent whose bench is missing.

Here are pictures of each:

Please help us if you can. If you know where either of these things is, we
will be very grateful to recover them. Thank you very much.
